NEW MUSIC AND IMAGES INSPIRED BY CANADA'S WILD PLACES
Experience Canada Wild, an immersive performance that combines breathtaking wilderness photography with an original score of classical / world music performed live by the Raintree Earth Ensemble.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Several years ago, photographer Bill Pratt and musician Ian Douglas partnered to create a unique performance experience focused on nature. Images from the Canadian wilderness were carefully selected and sequenced into three extended pieces: Arctic Dreams, Algonquin Wild, & Yukon Northern Autumn. Collectively, these pieces feature the rugged landscapes and delicate beauty of Canada's wilderness: icebergs, barren tundra, rugged mountains, winding rivers, woodlands, and birds and mammals of these remote regions.
While these three pieces have been performed previously, the upcoming performances include new images and a refreshed musical score. Between pieces, the creators will share a few personal stories and experiences that have influenced the show.
