Bill Pratt

Bill is a nature and wildlife photographer based in Almonte, Ontario. For decades, he has explored Canada's remote landscapes, capturing spectacular images that celebrate the country's natural beauty. Through his photography, Bill seeks to inspire a deeper appreciation for the wilderness that has shaped us as a people and remains essential to the human experience. His hope is that his images will foster a commitment to preserving Canada and it’s wild places for future generations.

Ian Douglas

Ian is a composer, musician, poet, and research engineer whose lifelong fascination with music began in Toronto’s Humber Valley. After studying piano privately and learning music theory at the Royal Conservatory in Toronto, Ian immersed himself in the world of drumming, including orchestral, jazz/rock, and African hand drumming. Moving to Almonte in the early 1990s, he became a founding member of music groups raintree (world/folk) and The Ragged Flowers (psychedelic folk/rock). His work draws on folk, classical, world, and choral traditions.

The raintree earth ensemble features Ian Douglas (piano/djembe), Steve Smith (cello), Kelly Sloan (voice), Neil Saungikar (percussion), and Steve Reside (percussion/voice). The ensemble’s music is both ethereal and earthy, expressing the grandeur and mystery of Bill’s spectacular photography. Drawing on influences from world, folk, classical, and improvisational traditions, the group creates immersive musical soundscapes that deepen the emotional connection between image and audience.
